My sketch book is always with me. I draw the people and places around me - in the restaurant; at the park; in the library; at the book store. I believe that like any skill, being a good artist requires constant practice and thought. My art quilts always grow out of my sketch book, becoming full size drawings on my design wall or enlarged prints on fabric. As my work has evolved, I find more and more that creative media are intertwined - drawing, painting, sewing, and even writing. It's exciting to bring these forms together in one place.
